Third Coast seeks to elevate the work of emerging and established authors by reviewing new and forthcoming story collections, novels, poetry collections, memoirs, and essay collections. We are particularly interested in works that are published with small presses. To request a book review, authors should fill out the following form. We will do our best to respond within six months. 

Please understand that we receive many requests for book reviews, and are only able to undertake a small number each year.

• Please submit one-act plays of no more than 20 pages.
• Third Coast strongly encourages the submission of 10-minute plays that have had readings or productions, but have not received publication.
• Please submit in standard play format.

• Submit manuscripts of up to 7,000 words.
• Nonfiction submissions should be typed, double-spaced, and printed clearly.
• We will accept packets of up to three flash non-fiction pieces. Follow poetry guidelines for withdrawing individual pieces.
• The author's name, address, email address, and phone number should be included on the first page. Each subsequent page should have a page number and the author's name or title of the piece.
• One submission per period per individual. This includes authors writing under pseudonyms. 

• Poetry should be typed and single-spaced, with the author's name and contact info on the first page.
• Stanza breaks should be double-spaced.
• Please send no more than five poems at a time (with a maximum of fifteen pages total per submission).
• Please submit all poems in one electronic document.
• If a submitted poem is accepted elsewhere, please log into your account and write a note through the messages feature on your submission indicating the poem(s) that are no longer available.
• No more than one submission per individual per submission period, please. This includes authors writing under pseudonyms. 

Submit manuscripts of up to 7,500 words (or up to 25 pages)  

• For short shorts, we accept up to three at a time (please submit short shorts in one electronic document).
• Fiction submissions should be typed, double-spaced, openly margined, and printed clearly.
• The author's name, address, email address, and phone number should be included on the first page. Each subsequent page should have a page number.
• Each individual should submit no more than once per submission period. This includes submissions written under pseudonyms.
